Great advice Cliff! The baseball analogy makes this easy to understand. This a simple habit which I’ll be focusing on. I like how you say to exaggerate putting the racquet up.

How true is that? After one year of practicing proper forehand, backhand I can effortlessly hit straightforward.
Hitting straight is critical, as for power, proper racket preparedness allows me to hit without straining tendons.
Now if we look at my before and after percentages for kills, I would say before maybe 40% while straining muscles and tendons, after learning from coach Swain I had an increase of 86% side outs or point made. No pain!
The angle that I randomly hit at during court play doesn’t matter anymore as long as I get into proper racket preparedness.
A big thank you coach Swain!
