What, according to Cliff Swain, is one of the most important elements of your game?
Racquet prep. Racquet prep. Racquet prep.
“Late preparation, no matter how many good things you do – if your preparation is late, you’re going to miss all kinds of shots that you’re capable of making.” — Cliff Swain

What is racquet prep? In short, it’s turning sideways and getting your racquet up well before the ball reaches your strike zone.
When you’re doing it properly, it looks like this: arm parallel to the floor, racquet facing the opposite side wall.
Admittedly, running around the court with your arm and racquet in the ready position feels a bit goofy. But from behind the glass — you don’t look goofy. You look like a pro.
